Default interesting. they are the exact ones that i see in all those pics that are floating around...

but then again this dealership deals with only lambos, porsches, etc and other high end exotics.

the elises are sitting right up front for the world to stare at em...

Default Well, they have been imported, but not by Lotus....

...they were imported for a while by a third-party company for track-use only (not street legal due to emissions).

Then I think this same company started to install the Acura Integra Type-R engine, and this version of the Elise is street legal in the U.S.

Now I believe Lotus is officially importing it to the U.S., that car won't be hitting the streets for another year.

Sun International is the company I've read about that has been importing them for a while.

Sun International

Default I'd be very surprised if it's Jan 2004. It'll be July, Audust 2004 I bet.

I've got a deposit on one... If they do come in January, I'm waiting to get one. My elise will never see snow. That's the S4's job.
