Default So what are the advantages of running a wider tire in the rear?

Does it help eliminate understeer or something? This is a continuation of the below post. TIA.

https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/1522856.phtml</a

Default More understeer, not less ...

probably not what you'd want.

no, you're still limited to how big a tire you can run. more lip is the only positive.

how about less OVERsteer? :-D

if i had to run a 185 in the back to produce oversteer i'd still be loosing out...

how about for putting power down?

also wider tires may sometimes necessitate lower profiles which _may_ reduce tire roll tendencies and/or increase cornering response.

Default you can't run a wider tire on the 9 vs. the 8.5 on the s4. you can go just as big on either (255 in

the rear) The sidewall will be at a little different angle because of the different seating position but overall, no diff in performance. same tire.
