Anyone install a softer hood shock or anything? i hate having to use a stick. Maybe like a extendable hood prop or something.

Default .....why not use the stock shocks?

Not that I don't realize it's meant for heavier lifting but that aside, would it fling the hood up too viciously or- ?

Default one of those extendable rods with a magnet on the end...

magnet to body just behind coolant res, rubber end on rod to hood just behind bump stop on driver's side front. Still a removable rod, but this one works well and resists dropping hood in wind.

If you find a better, fixed solution, please post.

take a stock shock, blow the seal, drill a hole, install. Use a cotter pin
