So what's the overall opinion of Fidanza flywheels? Good, bad? (and yes, I STFA.)

Default So what's the overall opinion of Fidanza flywheels? Good, bad? (and yes, I STFA.)

And have any of you ever used one in conjunction with a stock clutch/PP setup? TIA.

Default I personally would go with a resurfaced stock flywheel. I have no experience with the lighweight

flywheel but from what I've read it's a lot clunkier than stock. I like the smooth uptake of the stock dual mass flywheel and I think that would be compromised with the lightweight one.

Default 2nd. I think LW flywheels are fine, they are just not my preference. I've always used a resurfaced

stock unit.

Default I do have a stock flywheel laying around, but I thought I would give LWFWs a shot.

Worst case, I don't like it and take it off. Fidanzas are only $330, so it wouldn't be much of a loss.

Default I have one, good thing is, you dont have to send it out to have it cut, replace the pressure plate

theres a little chatter at idle but it comes and goes. The clutch engagement is a bit touchy but you get use to it. In my car 1st gear is very touchy and the car jumps hard forward if you lightly tap the gas. It results in more power earlier on and allows the motor to rev out faster and higher.

im using a clutch masters stage 3 with it and its been solid. My clutch pedal occasionally changes pedal position from top to bottom. Mark noticed it at Asp. I think it has to do with the fact that its not a SACS clutch. Ive only REALLY launched the car about 3-4 times to be honest. When i was at e town i was only launching at 3k(which really isnt launching cuz the car falls on its *** and then aceels hard.(have to launch at like 4kand up to get it over the cars weight and muscle out of the hole.

any way e town was in april I had 98k and ive put 10k on it since clutch went in at 96.

If your gettin a clutch too, go with a cm stg4 not a stg 3 like i did. although its working fine id rather have the stge 4 in it.

Default I bought my car with a Fidanza flywheel already in it. 2 weeks later, it was out.

I didn't like the noisy chatter up until 2000 rpm. It was a tad more difficult to get going from a stand still, but that didn't bother me. As far as the revs dropping quicker, I didn't notice anything significant.

For me, it's a definite skip.

Default Seems to be hit or miss with the chatter issue. Too much $$$ to pull it if it's noisy so I went

with a stocker.
