So, while I have the headlights out, just how hard is it, really, to do the clear corner mod??????

also, note this:
ive never come across someone who has done the mod who hasnt gotten any condensation in the housings. just something to note.
if someone HAS done the mod w.o any condensation, speak up now

It is not a mod for the perfectionist for sure...
You will likely end up with small scratches in the silver coating and floating bits of plastic in there, no matter what you do, canned air etc.
This is assuming you do it by breaking out the orange. I know some A6 folks were opening the lens case first, which in hindsight is maybe a good idea.
Condensation isn't really an issue, it can happen even without a mod and should go away eventually.
There is an old TSB for dealers which says (of course!) that it is natural and not to warranty repair for condensation.
The mod looks pretty good, as most people won't look that close. Only you will know I'll bet. Also, it isn't hard, but it will seem hard when you first put the drill to the housing... take your time !! if you decide to do it.
I'm now running euro's, and really not sure I would do the mod again.

I can't stand something that looks half-assed. Just by looking at them I can't really tell where I want to drill either. Maybe I'll just skip it.

Being a perfectionist, I've never liked the clear corner mod either. I've seen enough clear cornered housings with those nasty holes to not want to do it.
