Default so you can raise both wheels off the ground using one jack, but i'm wondering if it's normal for

you to have to lift one side higher than the other to get both wheels off?

when swapping wheels i usually just jack up at the front jack point until both the front and rear wheels on a side are off the ground. i need to raise up my driver's side significantly higher than the passenger side in order for the rear wheel to get off the ground.

does this mean anything, or is this typical? something with my sub-frame?

rear sway-bar links are fine. fender height at all 4 corners are ~26". alignment seems fine with no handling issues and even tire wear.

thanks!

Default Some of that can be attributed to chassis flex.

but it's normal to have to jack the front up a little higher than the rear.

Default i was wondering more driver's vs. passenger side. chassis flex . . . so

this means that the driver's side is (much) more flexy than the passenger side. i wonder if this is atypical or just par for the course.

Default SRSLY, though, if you have more weight on one side or if you aren't on level ground,

it would seem that you'd have to lift one side higher than the other. And, I'm guessing here, but I'd guess that the driver's side might have a few more pounds of stuff, since it does have the steering wheel, pedals, etc. on that side. It'd be interesting to see what each quadrant weighs, i.e., RF, LF, RR, LR.

Default Do you always raise the driver side first? (more)

If you raise the driver side first the wheels will go full droop, when you lower the car back down it will not be at true ride height because as the wheel droops it moves closer to the center of the vehicle. Roll the jack around to the other side and jack it up and your sway bar is now pushing the wheels down. Try jacking the passenger side first then the driver side, I bet you would see the same affect.

Nah, that's too obvious. :P I like my explanation better.
