Error Initializing ECU Communications

Time Out Waiting for 0x55 Character(BAD ECU RESPONSE):ct=)



I install lemmi, then I unzipped thep Virtual Port. Turned on the car, plugged in the USB cable on a completely separate USB port. I manually pointed to the correct driver in the virutal port folder I unzipped.

I even went into Device Manager and clicked on update driver and manually pointed the the drivers again. But I still keep on getting that message. I believe port 4 is where it wants to communicate with the ECU because its the only port that actually gives me some kinda feedback, others just say port not used.

Any recommendations?

I have 2, 1st one is USB and 2nd one has serial emulator. Therefore, I had to change the com port setting in device manager and Lemmi to com port 2...and then it worked.

seems like you did everything correctly, the last thing to do is go back to device manager, then under LPT/Com port you will see "USB Serial somthing" then right click then property then hit "Advance" then change the port to Port 1! and when you launch Lemmiwicks, click port 1 too!
