I am in dire need to get to a dealer. I swapped in my orig chipped ECU for a new one. It is the correct ECU (AA code I think) for a 2002 TIP.
Car starts, but after clearing batt codes, noticed these:
18020 Electronic Control Module
Incorrect Coding
and
18014 Rough Road Spec Engine Torque ABS-ECU Electrical Malfunction
Tried to use VAG to recode ESP to Engine --> Recode with value 06711 and the CRUISE CONTROL to Engine --> Login 11463
DIRECTIONS AS PER: (directions as per: https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/778228.phtml)
So did VAG, backed out of VAG, turned off car, ignition key out, turned on car (cant move it) and STILL HAVE SAME CODES. Did not work for me , is it 2002 issue or other.
PLEASE PLEASE. Need help fast.
PS. I can call you if you have phone...that desperate! EMAIL ME: medmannj@excite.com (with your phone)
Thanks
RESOLUTION (for future persons). Did two things, (1) copied the WSC code from tranny to replace the "00000" WSC for the New stock ECU. (2) Used ENGINE Login 11463 BEFORE recoding box, also noticed that the code (from my original "chipped" ECU was 06751, NOT the 06651 as posted in the forums. Perhaps new for 2002 TIP.
Anyway, all is fine now. Just make sure (now that I have learned) to get ALL the codes from old ECU before taking it out.

One more thing, the workstation code is 00000. Is that ok or what should it be set to?
CAN SOMEONE GIVE ME A WSC FOR A 2002 TIP S4. My OLD BOX IS CHIPPED AND CANNOT PUT IT BACK IN TO LOOK AT RIGHT NOW.
