Talked with Chris from APR yesterday, Could not have been nicer or more helpfull. So it sounds like my issue is somewhat common, Chris explained that on the older EMCU (Mine is 5-6 years old) the module is not very tolerant of heat and after awhile gives up the ghost. The good news is that APR will repair it free of charge and will even update it to the latest MAP. If this is true I will be a very happy camper, though I am really glad this did not happen when we were on a road trip...the better half would have been pissed.

Got my ECU back from APR, total cost was $12.00 in shipping and handling. I have to say that APR handled this very well and I am a totally happy customer. I also have to say that the map in the new ECU seems to be a lot smoother then the 6+ year old one that was in the ECU, I guess APR has done their home work.

Audi a3 2litre s tronic
I have an audi a3 2007 2litre s tronic, Im getting the fault code 18258? Would this be the problem to my misfiring, stuttering when I put my foot down?
