Some Interesting Comments from Joseph Hoppen KeyNote Speech at S-Car Nationals...
It was a pleasure to meet Mr. Joseph Hoppen at the S-Car Nationals this weekend..his background and experiance is absolutely amazing. Some of the things he did say that I think would interest most of us are the following:
-1) Audi will become the more sport car oriented of the VW relationship while VW will continue to sell more regular sedans.
-2) ECU's in the future Audi's will NOT be available for tuners. All spare ECU's will require that the Dealer send in the original ECU to Audi for analysis and repair or replacement.
-3) Audi WILL choose a warrany friendly tuner like BMW and Mercedes have done. Likely to be ABT and maybe MTM. Timeframe is still unknown but suspect in the next two years less.
-4) Chairman of VW/Audi Mr. Piersch (sp) expires when he turns 65 in the next few months. Look for additional changes as he leaves
-5) Audi to join in the Formula 1 circuit in the next 2 years!!
All in all a very interesting speech from Joe...I am still in awe from his experiance and background w/ Audi and Porsche.

hey frank...I checked the underhood temps again two days ago.....
it was 66 deg F. out and I was flying down I-75, anywhere between 80 - 110 mph. The temps would not get anywhere near ambient. It pretty much stayed around 91 - 95 deg F.
