Damn MAF limit :::shakes fist:::
Anyhow, the largest reductions I've experienced were from airbox top mods. Straight transitions, smooothed corners... etc. As I say over and over again, just getting the MAF to fit isn't enough.

...3 1/16" = approx 77mm
The inner MAF sensor area. It is 2 3/4" = approx 69mm
The length of the MAF housing is 4" and the smaller and larger diameters are fairly equal protions of that length. So the average I.D. = 73mm.
That is where the 73mm come from.
(just measured the housing)

the one i have right here is actually the most recent one purchased. It is sitting at 77.04mm and with a westcott straight edge running along the walls it is plain to see that it actually tapers up in overall Dia. in the center of where the sensor actually sits. not by much, maybe .25mm at most
fun stuff
