Default I've probably put more effort than anyone in trying to reduce my MAF readings...

Damn MAF limit :::shakes fist:::

Anyhow, the largest reductions I've experienced were from airbox top mods. Straight transitions, smooothed corners... etc. As I say over and over again, just getting the MAF to fit isn't enough.

Default I.D. at outer edge is...

...3 1/16" = approx 77mm

The inner MAF sensor area. It is 2 3/4" = approx 69mm

The length of the MAF housing is 4" and the smaller and larger diameters are fairly equal protions of that length. So the average I.D. = 73mm.

That is where the 73mm come from.

(just measured the housing)

Default 73mm is the equal average diameter.

See my measurements below.

Default all i use are the sensors, but for now....

the one i have right here is actually the most recent one purchased. It is sitting at 77.04mm and with a westcott straight edge running along the walls it is plain to see that it actually tapers up in overall Dia. in the center of where the sensor actually sits. not by much, maybe .25mm at most

fun stuff

What is the goal of your reduction....leaning the car out a bit for better A/F?

Yes, call me in the morning. We can ship them out ASAP, and they're on sale.

Default It is centered both on new and old....not my car being referred to here...

...not my readings...this is a hypothetical example.
