When the ams stage1 went on the dyno and put down 268whp I thought for sure i woudlnt be anywhere around what i was shooting for which was 290, I took this number in reference to racing my buddies apr'd s4 with piggies and umc v1 exhaust and a borla giac i raced. I beat both of em so i figured around 290ish since xx tuning dyno said they ran 285'ish for giac and apr. but when i saw the results of the ams stg1 i didnt think it would make that much so it was a huge surprise.
how bout a guestimate where i would be with asp dp's......
my S4 is a crack head junkie.

But I don't know if it had enough airflow from the fans for the K04'd cars. Lack of airflow would effect the higher HP cars more than the others.
This is just an observation, still doesn't detract from your car making a healthy amount of power over the AMS stage1 car. ASP's system really is Kick ***...I love mine, and looking underneath the car everynow and then really reminds one of how beautiful the system really is. I wanna by a second one and hang it on the wall...haha.
Another note - were the stage1 and stage2 AMS cars the same box/year?

on that dyno its a BASELINE just like your name..... YOU CANT ARGUE THAT heat soak or not.
the dyno doesnt favor anything if i get my car ko4's yes heat soak will be an issue, but it will be on par with the other dynod k04's on the same dyno. theres only ONE dyno in the US that has efficient airflow and thats the maha and AMS has it

Although you're right that being the dyno and fan setup is the same...it is somewhat of a controlled testing environment. But what I was trying to convey is the cars that flow more air...ie, make more power are going to suffer more than the cars with less power from having less air flow available to them. The fans at XX weren't totally inadequate, they were ok...but I just think that given more "available" airflow the K04'd cars would have increased the margin over the K03'd cars...just a thought. I just think the snail fans could have been a bit bigger....they were on the small side.
And there are plenty of other dyno fan setups that are sufficient outside of AMS's MAHA. Sure their setup is awesome...but the MAHA also loads up the cars way too much, a 40second dyno pull as done on the MAHA is way too long. No S4 will ever see sustained 40second loads ...but that is a whole different topic, and I'm not going there right now.
