Some weird boost behavior (more)

RS4 intercoolers on all, eh??
Definitely a possibility!
The lowered intake pressure drop can cause the boost to overshoot. The GIAC X-chip requests a lot of low rpm boost to get the turbos spooled as quickly as possible.
Don't know if we have done any real testing on a K03 car with the RS4 intercoolers.
Now we're talking!

when kurt had v.5 + stock ic's, he'd sometimes hit throttle cut but nowhere near as repeatable......that's what i remember when we ran it during the winter. could be the lower pressure drops i guess. if i had X right now, i'd go test a bit, but i'm not ripping out my new ic's for it ;p

If interested parties want to get to the bottom of this, let's pledge to be civil to each other. Me first.
We may need to get an intercooler only X-chip produced. Nothing wrong with that, and it would not suggest that there is something "wrong" with the OEM intercooler X-chip.

because i wanted him to buy them from you, and
not from another tuner, which he had originally
planned to do. That's why i even came with him.
I remember Skene paying for the time that Chris
spent on the car, if that's what you meant by
borrowing tools. I did appreciate being allowed
to put the lights in. And I still do.
I haven't changed. Keep in mind that I didn't
receive the support I asked for -- on multiple
occasions... not even when i told you i didn't think
a new revision would fix the problem, and i'd
like to talk to someone for an idea of what
else to check in the car...
Mike, what you fail to understand is that i don't
take business personally. If the other party
makes it personal, then that's that...
I have no problem with you personally, or any
other AWE staff members. I had asked many times
to speak to someone who would simply hear
my description of what was happening, or look
at my datalogs, and give me an idea. I got
nothing but more revisions, none of the three
did jack for me.
I am a loyal customer. Nearly everything I
bought from AWE could have been purchased
elsewhere at a better price. I bought all
of my equipment from AWE simply because I wanted
to support the shop, and the people, to help
you all succeed and grow. I also bought it from
AWE because I thought paying a little more would
be worth it if i ever had a problem with anything.
I was wrong. The great shop reputation did nothing
for me... and since I have found many others
in the same boat as myself.
Keep in mind, I didn't make it personal, and
the only person that did was Todd - so now it
is personal, and that is unfortunate.

and to be honest, all i was asking for was
someone to hear me out, and take a look at
the logs. It's all I asked for...
and consider this...
if you had done that, GIAC would have heard
about the problem sooner, and been working
on a fix sooner.
I agree, my fix is... strange. But I can assure
you of this... everything, literally everything
that can be checked and changed has been done.
yet, only GIAC's T box X programs cause that
problem... no other tuner's T box programs...
but the M box code worked... and that's all
i wanted... for X to work.
If you still think i'm a pain in the *** of a
customer, consider this...
I put a $250 deposit down on an ibe chipped ECU
in October of 2001. I then called back
in late November, and asked if the T box
was available yet, or if ibe was released.
When i was told it neither were available,
i said ok, i don't mind waiting.
I didn't get my ibe chipped ecu until about
mid January, and I believe i only called
once late december to get a status update.
hmmm... how often do you find a customer who
puts a deposit down, doesn't receive the
merchandise for 4 months, and only calls
a handful of times for a status update?
