Default When flooring it below 4.5K, the boost spike over 20 psi (~22)...

then it smacks down to about 15-16 psi and the throttle cuts.

We have no boost leaks, our cars run fine on other chips.

DocSlow describes the issue exactly Spike up, then down, fluttering boost, mild "misfire" feeling

Default I am guessing that many more have the problem, but it is hard to tell without seeing boost...

I noticed it on my gauge, or else I really couldn't have felt a major difference. I guess my butt dyno sucks, huh?

Default How do you know the throttle cuts?

H, M and T ECUs will not cut the throttle even at 1.65bar (24 psi) of sustained boost if the differential between actual and requested is "acceptable".

Do you have boost logs and throttle logs correlating to this symptom?

Sorry to question both of you, but we have installed hundreds of these chips, and dynoed dozens of them, and have not seen this issue.

Can get logs, if I can figure out how to use Palm #$%^ProDiag. Trying to call you to explain.

Default That is not necessarily "overboost" from the chip program.

Lots of things can cause that issue, like a leak in the intake system. The ECU then can be requesting more boost to try affect actual boost production, which can lead to "overboost".

However, that is not a fault of the chip.

What Mike is describing sounds different, anyway.

Default And where was actual vs requested boost?

Throttle *will* cut if there is a large deviation, but a large deviation indicates a mechanical, not chip, issue.

Default But our cars run fine on AMS! How can you explain that...

There is absolutely nothing wrong with our cars as much as you would like to blame us for the problem.
