Default Somehow I have a hole in my washer resevoir. How hard is it to take out?......

I ****ed with it for while yesterday. Seems really hard to take out. I already STFA. Is the only way to get it out is to remove the bumper?

What if I just unplug the pin will it take the "out of washer fluid" dispaly off my cluster for the time being until I can get it fixed?

Thanks!

How bad is the leak? Just top it off with water to get the warning to go away.

Default Search harder...

...you definitely do not need to remove your bumper, only the inner liner, which isn't much harder than removing your belly pan.

Look in resources/tech/misc

Default you can get to it from the wheel well, look at the tech articles for abs module removal...

for me the hardest thing was to remove a clip that is on the back of the reservoir at the bottom. other then that it is pretty simple, no bumper removal necessary.

I just cut that clip off. It's not necessary, IMO. The hose isn't going anywhere.

Default In a nutshell: take the driver's side front wheel off, remove the wheel well liner, remove the 3

bolts holding the washer tank (2 in wheel well area, one inside next to the PS fluid reservoir), and unplug the hoses / pump.

I replaced a friends resevoir on an A4. Pretty easy to take out. Remove inner lining, a few mounting bolts and don't forget about the motor that is in side of the unit, remove hoses.

Once out, I just used fiberglass bondo to repair the hole (near the bottom). No leaks over 2 years.

Hope this helps.
