take the ramp to my exit, drop down to 2nd, hit the gas and I hear what may be the start of the dentist drill. I have 65K miles, stock chip, but now I have a weird sound coming from passenger side turbo. At low rpm's, I can hear what I think is the shaft clanking or vibrating. Does this sound right? The sound at high rpm's isn't a high pitch yet, but it is definitely something new. I have no loss in boost yet. How long do I have left until I have to replace the turbos? Since I prefer reliability, not most hp, which turbos should I go with, K04's or a K03 hybrid? And who wants to replace them?

answers to your questions. Yes, you can run them with stock ECU. You will have to upgrade feuling when youre chipped, possibly when stock. Not sure though. :/

And don't forget to replace the usual culprits : TBB, BPV, IC clamps, IC's

https://forums.audiworld.com/27tv6/msgs/83.phtml</a

your symptom sound exactly like my when my second set of turbo went. yes it will give you full boost with no white smoke, but after a week and half it decide to go south. You may get a way with it alot longer if you stay out of boost...
