Default Sound coming from rear: wump wump wump wump.... wheel bearing?

I've also got some groaning coming from the front passenger side corner.... I'm thinking it's a TRE or sway bushing.... the control arm bushings are all fine.

Engine is bomb proof ... I'm just working out the suspension maintaince gremlins.

Thanks for any reccomendations/suggestions.

Default If it's a humming noise and gets louder when you put load on the susp

then it's most def a wheel bearing. My suggestion is replace both as I had both going, one was just louder than the other so I had to replace them a week apart.

Does the frequency increase with speed? Could be a bad tire.

Sort of, but not 1:1 with speed... after about 30mph it doesn't change.

Default hmm that doesn't sound like a bad wheel bearing, might be a bad tire

like suggested above. If you can you can also jack up the rear of the car and see if there is any side/side play on the wheel. If so then wheel bearing is going.

Default I can only hear the wump wump from my tire at lower speeds

after about 30 or 40 mph, it goes away. I think a wheel bearing would sound more metalic than a wump wump.

Make sure your lug bolts are tight! That was my problem. Haha. Worn tires will do that too.

That sounds like what I heard when my drivers side rear WB went bad.
