A remote bass control is a must when adding a sub to a stock system.
Or you will get too much bass on one song and not enough on another. It gets REALLY annoying.
Yes that amp will be sufficient.
I mounted my amp sandwiched in between the box and the rear seat and it runs great with no visible wires.
