Default Spark plug selection

i am thinking about getting the Denso Iridium's
I know I should get the colder heat range, does anyone know the partnumber? Is it true I should go .004 smaller on the gap for every 50 HP?

Default info...

ik22 are the colder plugs. I run ik20's but i am stock. Also, you dont gap these plugs, they are gapped at the factory. If you read the receipt it should say "do not gap these plugs" (It may be because they could break easily, They have very small electrodes)

Default Densos have no need for any decreased gap because...

they require much less voltage to fire than traditional plugs of the same gap, therefore they don't follow the same rules for requiring less gap when adding more power (boost, nitrous).

BTW they *can* be gapped, but as Denic992 said there is a warning which is meant to keep people from 'gapping' by prying something against the electrode, because they do break more easily due to their tiny size. You can gap them though (carefully) if you wish with the proper gapper tool.

Does anyone have data to show that a colder plug has advantages?
