Default Spec LWFW problems... *Sigh*

Thought I'd get around the spec hype by getting an unsprung pressure plate. Turns out spec got the last laugh when the flywheel started to clearance itself on the block.

Mike at Tyrol Sport is bustin' *** to get my car ready to be shipped out to California, but this last little f-up has really gotten both of us tweaked. It's not like I decided to skimp and find a cheap solution for a clutch upgrade; I paid a chunk of money to ensure that I had quality parts. I guess I wasn't privey to the fact that there was a "bad batch" of flywheels running around out there.

Regardless, special thanks to Mike at Tyrol and Don Istook, those guys rock!

Default plain old didn't work with the rs4 clutch.

moss seems to think it was a tolerance stacking issue. todd would probably disagree, but whatever, the stock one works fine.

i haven't talked with either yet about what to do about the one i purchased.

Default You should be WAY faster than that. I ran 4.7 on 91 and fmic/k03s. Even

Dustin's car ran 4.7 on AMS tuning. His old Xchipped K04 car ran 4.5 with zero tweaks on the fueling.

Didn't Diego run 4 flat or something on 91?

Default Is it hitting the block or the starter motor? My Spec LWFW clips the starter motor when starting ...

the car. Simpply said you just have to grind down a piece on the starter motor to get it to clear. It's going to be done when dp's go in.

Diego, full tank of gas and spare = more weight. Waiting for results with just the driver. :-)
