Default In my vast experience with abs false activation diagnoses......;-)

Seriously though, every time I have ever, ever seen a sensor drop out at a specific speed it's been because of the air gap between the tone ring and the sensor. It's usually irregular because of some runout in the tone ring. Check the air gap and rotate the wheel to make sure it is uniform for 360 degrees. Loose wheel bearings could also be a possibility. Another possibility is the new tone ring has too much of an air gap from the sensor. Or maybe tightening the axle bolt didn't pull the tone ring directly in front of the sensor; it's a little offset.
Just a couple of other suggestions. I have never run into an incorrect tooth count issue, but it's very possible.

Default I asked Marty if there was any chance that his out joints could be causing this problem

He of course would never want to say yes even if there were a chance. I might contact him again and find out exactly where his parts come from.
