So I finally have a few hours and I wanted to install my Vast short shifter tonight. I could not get my hands on any WHITE lithium grease today but I do have some "multi-purpose" old school brown lithium grease. Any issue not using the white? I can't remember the benefits of the white over the normal brown lithium grease. It doesn't attract dust as much or something ::thinking::

Any opinions out there??

If you have regular grease on hand, I would use that. That area is not exposed to dirt...it stays pretty clean, so that shouldn't be a concern. You just need something that will hold up to the heat that builds up down there.

Make sure to lube the crap out of the shifter ball... it wears/loosens over time.
