Default Stage 3 Boost Issues

I am having boost issues with my Stg3 2001.5 S4. I am using the new APR chip which pushes almost 25 pounds of boost during ramp up. The car studders during ramp up and the power is not what it should be. Its been 85-95 degrees every day and humid. I did not get the upgraded intercoolers and was wondering if this sounds like heat soak. The problem usually starts happening when the oil temp gets to 200 degrees. Not sure if that has anything to do with it. Has anyone experienced anything like this??

No. I have a VDO analog turbo gauge. It gets very close to 24/25 PSI in 2nd and 3rd. I would say 21 PSI for average high boost.

CEL?? I am getting misfires but am not sure of the culprit. I guess the timing is being pulled back for some reason. I am really not sure. I changed the plugs to a lower temperature copper plug to see if that helped. It did a little, but as i said before, once the car warms up the studdering starts in all gears under high boost.

Default A bad N75 has been known to cause excessive boost with the APR code, and

your boost is definitely too high. Is the car hesitating, or are you getting throttle cut?

i believe it to be throttle cut but I am not sure. The check engine light is on but I haven't checked the codes. I also believe the boost to be too high. When I run the car on factory setting the problem goes away. The car doesn't like to run on those settings though. The factory setting knock off at 10 psi. i will check the N75 thing though. I have heard that before.

Default Do you have the VAG-COM software? Blocks 113,114 & 115 would give you

a good starting point. With the boost, N75 duty cycle, and throttle angle that would be good data to have.

I dont but need to get it. i was on the phone with AWE and they told the same thing. I think it costs about $275 for laptop use. What would really be great if it was available in a shareware file somewhere!! I am taking my car to NGP which is a APR dealer. They did the upgrade and shuold be able to diagnose. I was hoping to get a home fix though. Can vacuum leaks cause this type of symptom??
