Default Stage 3 guys, well, anyone really, need some assistance.

Well, I threw those Bank 1 and 2 lean codes again. I had taken the MAF out yesterday and used electrical parts cleaner to get off any oil that may have gunked it up from my K&N. So much for that!

I may try it again by taking the sensor out os the unit before spraying it, but I pretty much did the best I thought cold be done yesterday.

My question is this. Is there any way I could upgrade to the RS4 Airbox, MAF... without going stage 3 yet? I am going to do it eventually, but will not quite be there for another 4 or 5 months. In the mean time, I figured I could do this part of it. Will that be possible? Any issues that would make it impossible, like software, etc...

Thanks!

Default It's not quite that easy.......

First, without the extra fuel flow, the added air flow potential is useless. More importantly however, your ECU depends on the correct inputs from the MAF to adjust the various performance parameters. If your ECU is not set up to work with the RS4 MAF, you are likely to throw a bunch of DTC's and your car will go into "limp" mode to protect itself.
