Stage III Homebrew trying to tune a bit, what is your definition of a properly tuned car, ie what to
look for?
A/F Ratio, Timing, EGTs, MAF, Requested v/s actual boost, etc.
What are the most important things to look for in order? I have read a bunch and know enough to be dangerous but not a lot of anything yet. I will eventually learn it though. Tweeking with Lemmiwinks and VAG com, no ECU Explorer.
Thanks guys just trying to learn from those that have been there and done that, well I might add from the numbers I have seen

I would say the definition or tru measure would be FATS times. Look for the following......
Since your only using VAG COM you will be in the right arena but not necessarily perfect.
O2 readings for A/F but wide band is better.
Timing....Check CF's for this...12 or less is ok on all cylinders. Some well tuned cars will be lower. Running more boost "usually increases these.Timing curve should be...well curved. maybe see +5 to +8 at 4500rpm and then up to +18 or a little better by redline. This will vary depending on numerous factors.
Requested vs actual boost? Not something you can measure with a MBC and TCD.
MAF- It varies but maybe 280gps at WOT redline?
Check this link for tons of info.<ul><li><a href="http://homepage.mac.com/edyjun1/S4/Homebrew.htm">http://homepage.mac.com/edyjun1/S4/Homebrew.htm</a</li></ul>

Thanks, my buddy picked up your car, looks sweet. We will learn together playing with these beasts.
How much faster is your RS6 turbo set up than PJ KO4?
Thanks!
Thanks!

YGM. KO4/RS6 faster than KO4? Touchy subject on this board sometimes since the.....
fastest S4 in the US is PJ KO4! The RS6 hybrid offers the ability to run higher boost at redline and that can equal more power if the fueling is in place. Also (and this is debatable) since the RS6 wheel is bigger the turbo shouldn't be as stressed as a PJKO4 at similar boost levels. That should mean its more durable.
