Stage3/GT25R questions/opinions (and yes, I did STFA. New stuff to consider)

But looking at a number of modified asian factory-turbocharged cars: it's a common number... and most of them don't have the logic of motronic keeping the engine alive.
I've seen stock blocked 1.8T's push over 30psi and nearly pee'd myself as the needle climbed.
The highest pressure I've ever seen on a 2.7T is a 2.1bar spike at around 4k (!) It was while adjusting the AVCR I ran into a an odd point where 3% of DC adjustment was worth a LOT more than 3%. Scared the bejeezus out of me.

Maybe I'm being paranoid.
But for me, I really was hoping for big numbers on 20psi (if I haven't said that enough). Much more in my comfort zone given all the unknown limits of this engine. I don't want to be the guinea pig!
Who knows? Maybe GT25Rs can make 500 crank hp on pump and at 20 psi with a 7k rev limit? Any guesses if they can with the right tuning? Basically adding 40-50hp just by their more efficient design and ability maybe to squeeze out a bit more timing due to lowered IATs?
$13k for that would be tempting.
$13k for 500hp running 26+ psi, I am not man enough for...

According to him it had a AudiUK race team prep'd RS4 motor running a stand alone computer. All RS4 components, dual inlet MAFless induction(not sure about hybrids or not) and huge custom intercoolers. He mentioned that all they did to the internals was machine the pistons flat(have no idea how much less compression that would give you)as a way to reduce compression. No thicker gaskets or any other compression dropping measures.
He claimed Cosworth and the race team said that max crank was around 550. Also mentioned that the Cosworth guys did not believe anyone could make more than that especially on the Motronic box. ;-)
Obviously this is all hearsay, but the guy seemed knowledgeable and I did look at the motor and its all ligit stuff, its the real car. Maybe this is all old news, but I thought it was interesting.

I wouldn't dyno my car past 6750 due to similar paranoia, lol.
500 crank is very possible at that pressure, but 22psi would be more realistic. Honestly, I don't think you need GT's for that though... I bet my RS6brids could do that.
