Default Stasis Street Sport (Koni based A4 coilover kit) review

I installed the Stasis Street Sport suspension (the much debated Koni A4 Coilover Kit) on my S4 about a month and a half ago so I figured I would post a small review and of course leave myself open to answering any and all questions. Hopefully it will help some people since it seems to me there isn't alot of real world info out there about this kit with regards to the S4.

The first thing I noticed about the kit is how smooth it rides, it basically feels just a bit tighter than stock for everyday driving. It takes small potholes, damaged pavement etc...without incident. Once I was comfortable that a bolt wasn't going to pop out and kill me and Steve Trac (who helped me do the lonnng install) I pushed it a bit. HUGE difference in terms of body roll on hard cornering or any cornering for that matter. The car is so composed now. Literally I have not felt the car exhibit body roll since I've had the kit on and I've really taken some hard turns. This kit without a doubt will keep your car flat through corners.

Another concern people voice is that of front end 'hopping'. Honestly I have noticed a bit of this but nothing that bothers me or is even noticeable to passengers (as far as I know).

Nose dive on braking, I beleive it helped alot with this too...I don't even notice this occuring although I'm sure it is slightly. The car is also pretty flat when drag racing it or getting on it...with the oem suspension I would notice the car squatting when I got on it, no more.

Finally , Install....once we figured out one slight issue (duh) it was straight forward, these things go right in no problem. One thing to note is I installed these without the lower rubber shock perch cushion (don't know if thats the official word). The body of the Koni shock is thicker than OEM and grinding that rubber piece to fit the larger OD of the koni shock was hell so I just tossed it aside...no squeaking so far.

My ride height is 25.25 all around, and I'm set I beleive 1 click away from the firmest setting per StaSiS (they ship them pre configured).

Overall I'm very happy with the kit, I know I can carve a turn hard when I want to (even with blotenzas) and the car feels so much more buttoned up than with the OEM setup, epsecially on the highway. Definitely would recommend it.

Steve Trac who also has the same suspension added this : "I love it. I was able to go really fast at Limerock and it handle's beautifully. Ride is only a little harsher (especially on bad roads) but it looks
and performs great."

Anyone who's ridden in my car feel free to comment, I think that's just gsxtos4guy and markcore.

Are they Ride adjustable on the car, or do you have to take them apart to make them stiffer?

Default the rear you can do on the car, the front has to come off for adjustment

honestly I dont see myself ever taking them off to adjust...I'm happy with what StaSiS recommended as I suspect pretty much anyone would be.

Default Did you ever find out anything about the rumored and elusive S4 specific Koni kit?

Thanks for the writeup. I am assuming this is the standard 1150.5019 Koni kit for a Quattro A4 2.8.

Default "removes Prodigy from his list'"... hehehehe thanks bud! What about that rumored S4 specific kit?

and I would prefer to have the hyperco's vs the now progressive Koni's that come with them.
