Default Stasis Suspension Information...I just received...

BTW- Not affiliated with them in anyway

STASIS Suspension Tuning

We focus our attention exclusively on suspension tuning for Audi vehicles, including braking and differential tuning for aggressive drivers. We leverage what we learn on the racetrack with what we learn from our daily drivers. We have a number of suspension paths possible for your car depending on your driving use. We pride ourselves on providing personalized advice, customized products and the ultimate in customer service. The following is a brief overview from which I encourage you to call us directly with your questions.

Suspension Kits

Our fixed height kits offer two spring rate choices: a 380/380lb progressive and a 450lb/500lb linear. The coil-over kit offers a range from 400lb to 1000lb depending on your intended use. All springs are built for us by Hyperco.

The 380lb kit is designed to remove the understeer, retain similar ride characteristics to a stock S4, and enable use of the stock S4 damper (shock) or a good quality aftermarket damper like the Koni Sport.

The 450/500 kit will give a little more overall roll reduction and better initial turn in due to its linear nature and slight bias towards front grip. This kit is designed around a custom valved Koni damper with dampening matched to its spring rate.

The Coil-Over offers the most flexibility. Depending on your intended use, power modifications, sway bar setup, and differential tuning we can use the proper overall spring rate and front to rear bias rate. We will custom valve the damper to suit you personal setup. This set up also offers you the ability to adapt to future changes by swapping spring and damper rates.

All components are warranted to the original purchaser for the life of the vehicle. We also offer a 90-day spring exchange program for our coil over customers if the spring rates we pick do not fully satisfy your requirements

Suspension Kit Pricing:

Enthusiast: 380lb/380lb progressive w/KONI Sport Shocks - $895.00
Street Sport: 450lb/500lb linear w/VM1 valved KONI Shocks - $1595.00
Track Sport: custom/custom Coil-Over w/custom valved KONI Shocks - $2250.00

Spring Sets

We do sell the spring sets separately but advise against pairing the Street Sport springs with a standard high performance damper. The 500lb rear spring is too much spring (energy) for standard dampers to control. This under damped system may allow rear end wander under spirited driving. Our custom valved Koni dampers deliver almost twice the rebound dampening force as other high performance dampers we have tested.

Spring set pricing:
Enthusiast Spring Set: 380lb/380lb progressive Hyperco - $380.00

Ride Height
The recommended ride height will vary with the spring rate chosen. Less ride height will require more spring rate and the subsequent reduction in suspension movement to avoid binding the front control arms. Alternatively we do sell adjustable front and rear control arms. Stock bump stops must be modified appropriately with the ride height chosen.
Audi S4 2000 - 2002
Enthusiast: 25 ½ "
Street Sport: 25 ¾ "
Track Sport: 23 ½ " - 26 ½ "
Our Coil-Over setup has a 3 inch range of adjustment. Applied to an otherwise stock S4 this provides a static ride height range from approximately 24" to 26" measured at the fender lip through the center line of the wheel. Our recommended ride height is 25.5", approximately 1" drop from stock. (600lb/700lb springs) Proper corner weighting will vary the ride height + 1/4" around the four corners.
Spring Rates
Depending on your intended use, power modifications, sway bar setup, and differential tuning we can recommend the proper overall spring rate and front to rear bias rate. We offer a range from 400lb to 1000lb. Our most popular spring rate for our Coil Over kits is 600lb front / 700lb rear. Paired with a properly valved damper this system provides substantial roll resistance with surprisingly little trade off in ride quality. We will custom valve the damper to suit you personal setup. We also offer you the ability to adapt to future changes by swapping spring and damper rates.
Dampers (Shocks)

We use Koni dampers for all of our street car applications. Real world driving and damper dyno testing reveals that they are superior in their balance of high speed dampening to low speed dampening when compared to the most popular dampers available for Audi vehicles. This enables us to use more spring rate for ride control (low damper speeds) without falling susceptible to a harsh ride over road irregularities (high damper speeds )

Coil Over Accessory Kit

Our first level accessory kit contains all the 'one time use' fasteners and a modified upper spring perch. This assures that new OEM fasteners are used at each location recommended by Audi and enables the car to be returned to original condition if the kit is ever removed.

This kit is priced at $100.

Our second level accessory kit adds the appropriate OEM parts to avoid any transfer of parts from the original strut. This enables installation of the front suspension without the use of a spring compressor and the ability to keep (or sell) the OEM suspension as a whole. It adds a new bump stop, shaft washer and upper strut mount. It also adds a pair of perch wrenches for adjusting the spring perches

This kit is priced at $200

Adjustable Control Arms and Toe Links

For lowered cars that suffer suspension binding and excessive negative camber, or aggressively driven track oriented cars looking for more aggressive camber, we stock adjustable upper control arms for the front and rear of the A4/S4. This is the same control arm set used on our World Challenge Touring Cars. We use steel Aurora rod ends, 22,000lb rated, 7075T6 Aluminum links and 4140 steel pins. These control arms will provide an adjustable camber range from 0 deg to negative 3.0 deg on an otherwise stock S4.

Std Camber link set for front or rear A4/S4 - $625
Aurora Camber link set for front or rear A4/S4 - $725

Std Toe link set for rear A4/S4 - $275
Aurora Toe link set for rear A4/S4 - $350

Other Products

We also provide a complete line of braking performance products. Please let us know how we can help you achieve your Audi goals.
