Default Stasis Tracksports 700F/800R/Sport + Intrax Front and rear swaybars?

I'll be swapping out my Stasis 600F/700R/touring setup soon for an 700F/800R/Sport setup and I figure it would be a good time to do swaybars as well since I hate body roll so much!

I haven't found much useful info in the archive on front swaybars except that its a good idea to go with a stiffer rear bar if you upgrade the front. I understand this will prevent too much understeer, but I wonder why everyone just doesn't go with a stiff front bar and a really stiff rear to balance things out. The Intrax setup has me thinking since it seems Zev's car did well in the S4 Shootout review. The description of the car driving like a BMW sounds good to me since I love how my friend's 330Ci rides and handles.

I eventually want to make the S4 less of a daily commuter, and thats why I'm not too worried about going with a stiffer setup. I get a bit of porpoising right now (car squats low when going over big dips in the road at speed) which I hope to prevent with my next suspension iteration by going stiffer and playing with rebound settings.

What does everyone think of a front and rear sway bar upgrade in conjunction with this Stasis setup? I'm hoping for even less body roll with the same neutral feeling I have now. Can I expect this? TIA!

a 50mm swaybar will help your car rotate like a 911

Default I've already got a serious buyer lined up...

I'm currently waiting for my new Tracksports to arrive. I think there is a big backlog though and I'm probably not near the front of the line.

Hopefully I'll get them in less than the typical "2 weeks"!

Default Have you considered the STaSIS Motorsports setup?

I am running 700F/800R springs with STaSIS Motorsports with stock swaybars on my S4 Avant, and it corners so flat even at the comfort settings. I will be doing my first DE with this setup at TWS in early March, so I can't give you a better review. However, with my toying on the streets, it is very neutral, with a slight tendency to oversteer esp on off camber turns. If you plan to be hitting the track a fair amount, I'd say the Motorsports setup is worth the money just for the compression adjustment alone, makes it a very streetable setup at these higher spring rates.

Oh, what brakes are you running, if you have the suspension, you are gonna need brakes. I run 332x32 Stoptechs in the front, haven't fadded yet, and I am pretty punishing...

Sorry for not actually answering your question about swaybars, I personnelly haven't decided to integrate that into the mix yet...

Enjoy,

Default Interesting point...

I suppose that the overall cost of tracksports+swaybars would be about equal to the motorsports. Something to consider... Maybe they are in stock too! hmmm...

Am I correct in my understanding that the compression adjustment affects the firmness of the ride? On the soft setting do you experience any undulations, bouncing, porpoising, etc?

I'm running stock brakes, but at 47k I'm starting to notice fading and inconsistency, especially in wet conditions. Some form of brake upgrading is not too far off. I've never tracked my car, but its something I'd like to get into eventually. Looks like lots of fun!

Thanks for the input!
