My car was leaking power steering fluid and the pump was loud. The dealer ship said that the steering rack had been destroyed by my car beeing too low. They want 1800$ to fix it . I said they (dealer and AoA) had to prove to me that it being too low is what caused the problem. They said that would cause more problems in the end and would screw up my warranty in the long run, but they would do it if I really wanted. Any thoughts on my situation?

my side would have been that the fluid must have become low do to a failing steering rack.

My steering was feeling "notchy" especially at low speeds until the car dumped all the steering fluid and lost all power steering. They replaced everything under warranty with my car having Stasis Track Sports. I'm 25k into my Audi warranty on a 2k2 S4 Avant. They didn't even mention the suspension. I must admit I was worried they would!
