STFA - but why do most Home-Brew & Stg 3- folks use 42# Greentops instead of RS4's injectors ?
I understood :
- 42# Lightning/Greentops ~440cc/min @ 4Bar
- RS4 ~480 cc/min @ 4Bar
Is this a spray pattern issue ?
BTW : Anyone running RS4's on 5bar FPR ?

larger and cheaper
If you're going home-brew, you're most likely looking for bargains. I was headed down that road until I looked at MarkP's website one too many times. The greentops and spacers are sold by ECS for around $350. MarkP has some data logging plots that show RS4 injectors are big enough for K04's. THe greentops flow more than enough, so they'll run with less open time at the same flowrate. If I had to do home-brew, I'd talk with Jeff Moss about converting to hitachi MAF and running real K04 GIAC software. He'll charge slightly more but you won't need the signal clamp, and other stuff. The signal clamp method works to trick K03 software into running higher boost, but it made me nervous. Any time you're modifying inputs to the ecu, you can't have much confidence in the outputs. I haven't read about blown engines so apparently the home brew guys know a few things. One theory: they clamp the MAP signal but the ecm still uses the MAF to determine mass airflow? You can calculate mass airflow with MAP + air temp OR MAF. Oh, I'm starting my APR install today.

Price and you don't have to run the RS4 fuel rail (URL for cheap greentops)
I'm sure there's a way to run the RS4 injectors without the rail (rs4 injectors are shorter), but it's easier to run fuel rail spacers and the greentops. BTW here is the cheapest price I've found on the greentops:
$46.25 each (check URL)<ul><li><a href="http://www.madenterprise.com/f150.htm">http://www.madenterprise.com/f150.htm</a</li></ul>
