Default It's a good question, so I'll answer it =) I actually wondered the same thing for a long time

Only recently (~5 months ago) was this finally explained to me.

Default With MBC in parallel, the N75/ECU controls boost below the TCD setpoint. The company coding

the software (Bosch/Audi in this case) worked long and hard to make the car ramp boost up and down so that the car drives very smoothly. Some people like to take advantage of this fact.

In reality, though, MBC-only setups tend to be very smooth below the TCD setpoint. The only problem I have with MBC-only is driveline shock when letting off the throttle under max boost/load. Verruckt is in Germany and does lots of high RPM driving (6th gear) and he claims that MBC in parallel works better for him. YMMV
