Not sure, that's what AWE put on the printout. Dont think it affects hp though.

Default "Conservative"??? 18% drivetrain loss is pretty damn optomisitic, isn't it?

I use a 25%-28% loss factor.

And to get 273 hp from stated 224 hp dyno results would take 22% ... no? ;-)

Aren't the stock figures quoted using 91 octane?

Default 224 / 0.82 = 273

Recall we are talking about a "percentage loss" (from the original crank).

Thus if the original crank is 273, and you are losing 18%, you end up with 82% of your original, thus 273*0.82=wheel

thus if you start with wheel, you must:
wheel / 0.82 = crank

NOT:
wheel * 1.18 = crank
(this is not 18% loss)

So, when AWE does:
wheel * 1.28 = crank,
it is really the same thing as:
wheel / 0.78125 = crank
thus suggesting "21.875% loss" for their dyno (not 28% loss as it may appear)

Default Gotcha ...

You are correct sir. I was going about it the other way (AWE example).

Like I said before, I have my reasons to question 17 WHP difference in the afternoon runs.

That 308 WHP stage 1+ XR made me smile too.

Default yes "Conservative", if Dave said there was more loss, this would calculate to a higher crank HP #

thus using 18% loss yields a conservative Crank HP result.

Also recall that this loss # is specific for the hub dyno with S4 attached. It may be a different # for the S4 not on the dyno, or the S4 on a different dyno.
