Default Strange transmission incident last night-->

When I park the car, I always shut the engine off, depress the clutch and engage 1st gear. This is 100% of the time, whether parked in my completely level garage, or in a parking lot at the store.
Last evening, after coming home from work, I hopped in the car, depressed the clutch and started the engine. I tried to move the shifter from 1st to reverse, but it just wouldn't go into reverse. I thought I wasn't aiming it correctly, but no dice, it just wouldn't go into reverse. I moved the shifter to neutral, released the clutch, then depressed it again and went to reverse again. Reverse engaged normally. Never had any problems like this, and it didn't happen any of the other times I parked the car. Should I be concerned?

Default I think thats normal on VW and Audi trannys

I've had it happen a bunch of times on my S4, and have noticed it on friends' VW's too. Depressing the clutch always fixes it.

This has happened to every manual transmission car I've ever owned- don't worry, drive happy. :-)

Default Normal - grears are misaligned ...

Happend to me on my GSR, and a couple of times on S4, when you shift in neutral, and release clutch gear moves and then it is easy to get in ...

Default Normal on all manual Transmissions, not just Audi and VW.

Just put it in nuetral and let out the clutch so things line up again. Sometimes you may have to do this twice if you are unlucky.

Yes. I know a lot of people who have had them replaced, both VW and Audi
