Default stripped torx removal pls help guys!!!! (M)

i hate torx they always seem to strip on me. What is the best way to remove a stripped torx??,its the torx bolts on the inside part of the fender that go along beside the hood,pls help guys TIA

maybe try using a dremel to make them into slotted bolts, then all u need is a standard screwdriver

Default I think those fender torx screws are set at a billion lbs...

I tried to loosen one the other week, and I thot I would snap the srewdriver before I loosened that bad-boy. Think no choice but to drill that f--ker out.

Default I paid $30 for it -- it was junk. All it did was cut a really smooth cone into the head of the screw

A screw soft enough to get stripped is probably soft enough to not let it bite.

Waste of money.

Hammer a 12pt socket over the head. Use one that fits snug.

Default Oh man, Todd... if that idea gets this damn screw out of my kitchen cabinets...

I might be able to use that to justify buying something for the car ;-)

i tried to dremel it and it still wont turn with a flathead!!!!
