I have STFA, read many pages of TR reviews, and came to the conclusion that this is a good tire for the S4, especially in the wet, and especially at the price. Also assuming that you're looking for year-round performance and not just flat-out, boy racer performance. But.....

I just started at the back end (960 total) of the TR reviews and the tire was completely trashed by almost everyone, with wet traction being specifically bad (none existant) with horrendous hydroplaning. Couldn't spend the time to see where in the review timeline the experiences went from bad to great.

What the hell is going on here? Was there a major redesign sometime?

have not had a problem, fantastic tire for the money. I am in Denver, and short of 12" of snow, this tire works great, as I did not see the need to spend the extra $$$ on an actual winter tire.
