I've done my research, STFA, and talked to some people so here goes...
I've narrowed the decision down to the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3. Others in contention were the Pirelli PZero Nero & Michelin Pilot Sport PS2. I know there are others out there, but I have no experience with them, so I stuck to these companies. From what I can tell, they have great dry/wet traction, are relatively quiet and have good wear. I will be putting them on a set of 18x8.5 ADR Sterlings and have Stasis Street CO.
I also plan on tracking the car a couple of times this summer and hope they are reasonable on the track.
My only question concerns size. 225/40/18 is the recommended size from Tirerack. Anyone have input on 235's? I think 235/35/18 will be a bit rough for me and Tirerack states that 235/40/18's are 1/2 inch taller than the 225/40/18, so I don't know if I will have potential problems with those.
Any input appreciated! I don't have any problem having the fenders rolled if necessary. I know I could have posed this to the tire forum, but I like it here better!
Thanks,
Craig

What is the right tire size for a 18x8.5? 225 40 18 or 235 40 18= lowered suspension but not slammed
