Default Surgery pix - *Warning - May be disturbing to minors*

Stopped by AWE Tuning's facility today to see how my baby is doing and took some pictures as well.

Open hood surgery, engine and trans out.

Old K03 turbos with 48K miles on them. They look fine don't they? The colour is identical on both, though the pics don't appear so due to exposure differences.

A part of the kit: Larger MAF housing ( beautifully CNC machined), MAF hose, tubular exhaust headers, custom injectors (in box)
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/11530/portion_of_kit.jpg">

Side by side comparison of the stock versus AWE's MAF housing. Plenty of performance headroom left between the new housing and injectors. It's all about flow, baby!
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/11530/maf_housing.jpg">

To maximize scavenging and minimize lag; T-304 stainless, Swain Tech coated headers. Purty too!
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/11530/header.jpg">

Mmmm...camber... The white gunk was courtesy of a NJDOT construction zone.
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/11530/adj_links.jpg">

I also got a peek at a recent dyno plot from Todd's Avant with the same kit. Running on 93 octane, crank corrected max HP was 418 and torque was...get this, 512ftlbs!

I am going to be a lot poorer after this is done but I am sure going to be wearing a big smile )

Default Yes, they will be available separately. That is the last piece holding up the K04 kit release.

We are working overtime producing headers for stock so that we can deliver complete kits upon release.

Default Congrats!! Very nice!

What's the ETA for completion? I'll be stopping by tomorrow AM to pick up my baby. If they've finished with your car and accidentally left the keys in it, maybe I'll just go out and do a little "testing". :-P

Default Fantastic...you're going to love the end result!

The power in Todd's Avant is simply stunning.
