Default Suspension Problem

2000 S4 86k - love this car - have been hearing noise like my struts are out - handling sucks - seemed like a simple strut/shock replacement - Took it to ZUmbach in NY they said i needed a new suspension $2800 - could this be true? seems like dealer BS - thanks

Default If coilover replacement then prices range from ~$1000 to $2500 for parts and $350-$750 for

installation and 4 wheel alignment. I actually instlled my own coilover set recently in about 5.5 hours.

Get a second opinion at a tuning shop.
Good luck.

Default it depends on what they are talking about

anything can go in under 90K miles if there is something faulty or even with normal use, especially control arms go in 90K miles

Default The whole front control arms are something like $400 from ECS or Blaufernugen . . .

it is a boatload of labor, add tie rod ends and a n alignment and I'm not suprised . . .
