First off we share a LOT of info about our cams, I will not however give out design data or anything that I consider IP. I also have not tested every combination of turbos/ECU's. Most of the cars running our cams are not in any proximity to me although I ran them in my personal GTI (while I had it) and in a GT28RS Audi A4. Both cars were fantastic performers on the small cams. The turbo and ECU has very little to do with camshaft design, I agree that they make a difference on a street car but from a camshaft designers perspective the ECU/turbo is lower on the totem pole since they can be tuned to the "hard parts" of the internal combustion engine. That being said, we have two different grinds for the VW/Audi 5v combustion chamber as stated here http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=2647771
to suit both mild and wild tastes.
These specs are for our "001 grind" which is the more aggressive of the two.
Duration / Intake: 248* Duration / Exhaust: 258* at 1mm
Duration / Intake: 216* Duration / Exhaust: 224* at 2.54mm
Lift / Intake: 8.9mm Lift / Exhaust: 10.5mm
I have also reground some of these to a more streetable "drop in" cam "002 grind"
Duration / Intake: 200* Duration / Exhaust: 210* at 1mm
Lift / Intake: 7.7mm Lift / Exhaust: 9.7mm
The smaller cam is fantastic for OEM turbos (KO3, KO4, up to GT28) and the larger workes best on Big turbos or stand-alone ECU's.
I have talked to Tony at EPL a couple times, I have cams in stock if he needs them. I'd love to see what he could do tuning wise with the big grind and a large turbo.
I wish I had more time to answer questions on the forum but I have taken on a pile of work lately so I dont come on here as often (or Vortex). If you are interested in trying a set of 1.8t cams send me an email and I'll see what we can work out.

That has changed with custom tuning and folks are seeing some nice power out of the RS4 parts.

I was contemplating having KTR install a set and do before and after dyno runs but I'd hate to spend the money and not see the gains . The only first hand info I've gotten wasn't good as mentioned earlier.

so talking to tuners and friends who have experience with the product is all we have to go on. I talked to KTR about them and even they had no info. They sent me that same dyno. They said the EVO ones made power but that means nothing to me. You know as well as anyone this is a different market than with the DSM cars or Hondas. Shrick cams are all we've known for a long time and almost nobody has them. Of those who has them I haven't seen dynos, install stories or much info at all. When I got the info about the cams not making power the specs were up on your website at the time. Maybe the testing was done way before the info got to me. Tell me more about the publication to look out for with the results. I'm interested to see them and what the competition put out there.
