I think it's a perception issue, not necessarily a fact, that there was a change in sound

Default I picked up a bit of a whistle after switching to synthetic 5w-30 on my first change...

I've used 0w-30 ever since, and the slight whistle has never really gone away.

Default is it ok to switch between 0-30 & 5-30 regularly?

Every place I looked was out of the 0 weight, and I don't want my engine to wig out if I went 0W, then 5W, then 0W again (or even something else). So, what's the opinion on switching viscosities with regularity?

Default Could be true, I had the stereo off for a change. I thought I remember Innovator making

the same comment. The fact that Ben blew his Turbo's a month later is a bit scary. I thought 0w40 was the way to go. Although with the S4, you never know. I put away a few bucks for the AMS K04 conversion just in case.

Default I think it's about paranoia..."start hearing things that aren't there or are Supposed to be there"

IMO, 0w40 is the better choice over 0w30

at least in the southwest (100F+ summer temps)

Shouldn't be any issues, although I'd try to stick with 0w-40 or 0w-30 if possible.
