Switching cat's and test pipes on A.W.E. dp's?

Default Switching cat's and test pipes on A.W.E. dp's?

I want to take the cat's out and put the test pipes in to see performance gains (if any) and sound differences (if any).

Is it hard to do? How long does it take? Any special tools needed? Do you need a lift?

i believe the test pipes make huge power gains.. not sure about sound, maybe a little louder.

Default You will gain 20-30whp (on a stg 3 car not sure on stg 2 car but it will be significant)

and exhaust will get louder. You don't need a lift if you don't mind working on your back. Just make sure you have a set of jack stands.

Default I have jacks and stands...

Do I just have to take the flex joints of and swith the cats and pipes?

Just had mine done, better spool up. With sportec exhaust barely notice sound difference.

Default Question avantS4, did you throw codes once you put in test pipes? I had a muffler shop do mine,

reinstalled o2 sensors in new test pipes and haven't seen a code yet.

I had the high flow AutoSpeed DPs with their cats and I gained 30whp by taking them off.

Default CEL will show up after 100 miles.

The CEL won't cause any performance losses or problems, it will just be annoying. There is a fix for this in the tech section.

I didn't even put my rear o2s back in. They are just strapped to my tranny I had to have a muffler shop do mine as well since I couldn't get test pipes from AutoSpeed. I just had the cats cut off and a new 3" pipe welded on.
