I want to take the cat's out and put the test pipes in to see performance gains (if any) and sound differences (if any).
Is it hard to do? How long does it take? Any special tools needed? Do you need a lift?

and exhaust will get louder. You don't need a lift if you don't mind working on your back. Just make sure you have a set of jack stands.

I didn't even put my rear o2s back in. They are just strapped to my tranny
I had to have a muffler shop do mine as well since I couldn't get test pipes from AutoSpeed. I just had the cats cut off and a new 3" pipe welded on.
