I've been having some overheating issues since Saturday. The temp gauge hasn't gone all the way over to "H" but it gets one notch away. I haven't had any temp warnings come on. I have noticed a sloshing sound coming from the front of the car lately. Could this be due to a bad water pump? Thanks for all the help gentlemen (and ladies)

a dead waterpump will make a high pitched wining noise. Judging by overheating and sloshing I would quess you need to add some coolant.

get it checked and it was the control unit of the fan that wasnt working. Maybe yours too... maybe not :-)
