Default NO self tapping screws. There are to boby tabs that are threaded, but when it is done there will be

a foam type seal around the top to seal the air pressure.

Default Quick question?

Because there are so many people on this forum that have stated, with data to back it up, that modifying the intake system (AWE s flow or EVOMs) doesn't make a difference at all... is this one any different?

I have the EVOMs open air intake in my car now, and I can't say that there is a power increase... but I like it, and that's why it's in there.

I'm not saying that what you developed can't help your car... but how? What else is changing to make that difference in performane?

FYI... everything looks awesome!

thanks,

Joe

Default Is that 3" piping? What about making it out of plastic?

Wouldn't that prevent engine heat from getting in there more effectively?

Default Any time you put pressure at a lower temp into a place where there was a vaccume and higher temp you

will see a difference. This is a direct cold high pressure air source. The little K03s will have to work less to perfom the same task therefore increasing their efficency. Remember your turbos have to work to pull air as well as push it. I am also very skeptic of those claims about intakes. I myself have seen a 2/10s 1/4mi differece between using a brand new OEM paper filter and no filter at all in the stock air box.

Default This isn't the finished product. Mark has some carbon heat barrier that we will

adhear to the sides of the box as well as the thermal blanket that I have already had on that side of the motor. The engine heat will not be an issue.

Default Cool, do you have to reset the ECU when you swap them out for it to adapt?

Assuming there is a difference between the two?
