Tall drivers - got my seat fixed today

I took my S4 to a car upholsterer today. He carved about 1" of the foam rubber off the bottom of the seat cushion where it sits in the seat pan. I now sit about 1/2" lower, which is just what I needed to keep my head from grazing the roof. There is no difference for me in the comfort of the seat (I don't "bottom out"). The only potential problem I can see is for "wider" drivers (I'm pretty skinny), sinking lower into the seats with the high, firm sides might be uncomfortable. One other thing - the upholsterer said I might have to have the computer reset, since he had to disconnect the seat wiring harness. He said another customer with an Audi got an error code from the airbag until that was done. I haven't seen this myself so far.

The Schroth harness mounts to the seat belt anchor which is on the seat. The only way to get to it is to take the seat out and thusly disconnect the power to the seat and airbag.
Brought the car in for regular service the next day and the service people didn't mention anything nor were there any lights lit up on the dash.
