Default Tangled with a GMC Cyclone yesterday in Huntington Beach

I hadn't really been paying attention but I was at a light on Beach Blvd with what I thought was a plain old GMC pick up truck. So the light turns green and he leaves aggressively. He gets out about three car lenghts and after seeing the red writing "Cyclone' on the rear gate, I suddenly remember what that thing is. I thought they only came in small SUV form but this was a pick up truck.

Next light is about to turn red with a car rolling to it in the middle lane, he swings right, I swing left and turn off all appliances. Now it's on. Funny thing is while we're rolling to a stop a worked Mustang GT owned a riced Honda Civic on the cross light. He shut it down by the end of the intersection or at the very least stopped spinning his tires. The truck owner and I look at each other and smile. So our light turns green and I promptly botch the launch so my front bumper is even with his rear and that's where it stayed until about 3rd gear when we both came out of the throttle.

He gave a friendly wave and pulled off into a strip mall and I continued on my way. My car is a stock 6 spd.

Default Yes, full time AWD and only an auto trans......

My buddy had a Typhoon in college and it was a real sleeper. It's a big V6 (4.3) with a turbo slapped onto it. You can tune the heck out of them too. Pretty hard to find one today in good condition, most are beaten on just like the Grand Nationals.

http://typhoon-link.net/CD/GMCTyphoon.html</a
