lower part from White Racing yet? They should have shipped last week but still haven't received mine.
The revised lower part has the offset just like the stock shifter and bolts right on to the upper shaft of the Tanoga. This is for S4s with build date > 1/01.

replacing ONLY the lower section of the Tanoga(with the canted lower part) only addresses 1/2 of the actual issue.
the UPPER also needs to be canted as well, in order to perfectly match the factory lever. however, Tanoga's versions (Ver 1, 2, 3...whatever they're up to by now) has still yet to address this issue.
of course, there are other points of the revised OEM shifter (build date greater than 1/01, or whenever the break for the new tranny is) which NOBODY has yet to address.
if you have other questions, you're welcome to ask me privately.

So why would anyone wish to purchase a short shifter "to perfectly match the factory lever"
The upper assembly does NOT need to be canted.
What are these other issues "which NOBODY has yet to address"
Have you seen any Tanoga short shifters?
You come on line and criticise my product without just course and then expect me to ask questions
"privately". This is not on. I will not sit back on this one without defending my product.
So lets see your professional comments with substance put on line.

I recently installed the Tanoga shifter in my end of Feb. 2001 S4,"canted lower part" The installation went perfectly an the Tanoga fit perfectly. Why are you bad mouthing this well engineered product? The shifting is accurate smooth and just great!!! (Do you want to buy my stock shifter?)
You need to apologize..when your wrong your wrong.
