I'm not sure if anyone has done this yet: I found an easier way to attach the four spacers below the shifter chassis on a Tanoga SS by using double-sided tape in a different manner.
Before installing the unit in the car, I placed the torx bolt through the chassis and then the spacer. I made a small (.25") square of double-sided tape, poked a pinhole in it and ran the end of the bolt through the tape. I did this for all four bolts/spacers. I then installed the chassis and lined up the screws with the holes in the "shifter bucket" and tightened them.
Made the job much easier... no more fumbling/ lining up loose bolts and spacers in a confined space. The bolts tightened quite snug and *maybe* there's even some lessened vibration!
Hope this helps someone,
-Mike

One of the spacers on the left side were tough to get in place. I guess if I had sat in the right side of the car it would have been easier to get to the left side spacers.
A magnetic grabber tool is a must. It makes the job 100 times easier.
