interesting story. i got my tubos replaced by audi (warranty) a week ago. the cause: faulty bypass valve. i thought this is a good time to put on an AMS kevlar TBB just in case. now, i am no expert, but i am certain this has been torn for longer than a week. how does audi spend $7k on my car and not replace a $12 part? strange.

obviously this tear is not visible unless the tbb is taken apart.
I suspect a similar problem with my car. The symptom is a lack of boost on wide open throttle. One certain rare occassions, I see normal boost levels.
I'm waiting for a new tbb before I can check this out.
btw how much is the AMS kevlar TBB?

I don't use my warranty anyway, so I have nothing to lose...But it is wrong what they are doing if what you say is true.
I've known Engel for several years so I'll see what I can do.
