my dad is trying to find something to get my mom for xmas as a suprise and get rid of her s430. So we went and looked at sll 55's. Let me first say that the car is super sexy all kinds of buttons to play with. The distronic cruise is the greatest invention since canned beer. Just set a distance to follow the car in front and dont worry about any spped changes awsome. Thankfully we are down here at our placde in florida for the break so the weather was great for drivin a drop top. The salesman would not let us take it without him so my dad and I took turns. My dad really like it although we both agreed it was a little slower then we expected for 490 somethin horse and over 500 lbft of torque. When i drove the car i turned the esp off but left the tranny in full auto mode. The car made great exhaust noises and the blower was deffinetly audible under hard acceleration. Easy to get the tires loose in a straight line or around corners. very stable stopped great. I commented to the saleman that it seemed a little doggy in the from 0 - 60 he of course looked at me like i was crazy but i guess i am spoiled by my audi which still isnt running. Anyway overall its not worth the money but if your are lookin for a convert around 120k it is not as fast as 996tt cab but alot more user friendly and refined IMHO. so hopefully mom will be drivin one soon so i can take it out to the bars. Happy late Turkey

I am not saying this as an ***, I really do wonder how that is, considering most of my worrying and thinking and working life revolves around having enough money for bills and to buy a house, etc... all about money, and if that wasn't a worry, what would i worry about?

Funny thing is, there's a fine line between "almost rich", "rich" and "super rich". There are lots of the first driving cars that should be in the hands of the second, but very few of the second driving them, because they got to be that way NOT feeling compelled to show it, and then there are the third, who were once the second, and got to be the third, by not being the first, needing to pretend to be the second.
I know some of each. I'm getting there.
I still can't imagine ever spending more than about 80K on an automobile, no matter how much money I have... but I suppose things change when you get there.
